The Lehigh Club of Boston is wrapping up one of its most successful years to date. Freshly minted alumni from the Class of '04 all the way down to alumni from the 1930s took advantage of a wide range of events throughout the city and suburbs.
Our goal is to unite Lehigh alumni in the area from many different age groups – from family-friendly events where you can show off your kids, to pub nights where you can act like one, we hold events with the intent to involve as many alumni as we can. You can get the latest details of all our events by going to our Club Web site at www.lehighboston.com. Another way you can stay informed and involved in the Club is to join our Listserve at https://lists.lehigh.edu/mailman/listinfo/bost-l.
In addition to social events, the club also plays an active role in promoting Lehigh throughout Greater Boston. Club members volunteer at college fairs, fund scholastic awards at local high schools, and interview potential students. These high school students can get a much richer picture of the Lehigh experience from our graduates than from a Lehigh pamphlet.
We are able to accomplish all of this with the generosity of our local alumni network. Your dues enable us to keep the Lehigh spirit alive and kicking in a city dominated by local colleges and universities.
After two and a half years as Club President, I will be stepping down this year to attend graduate school. Sarah (Jones) Girotti, '93 has been elected to Club President, and is looking forward to getting more alumni involved in diverse activities. If you have any ideas for events, or any questions, feel free to contact her at email@example.com, or (781) 652-8280. This is YOUR club; let's work together to make it great!
The biggest event (as always) is the annual Lehigh/Lafayette telecast, and this year should be no different, I hope to see you all at the Harp!
