Lehigh/Lafayette Telecasts

Lehigh Lafayette TelecastsHundreds of alumni, family and friends celebrated the 140th meeting of college football's most played rivalry by attending our annual Lehigh/Lafayette Telecasts! Even though spirits were slightly dampened by the Brown and White being unable to bring home the win, participants in over 50 locations across the country were happy to reconnect with old friends and show support for their alma mater.

Town Hall Meetings

Bethlehem to Baghdad panel In December, the Alumni Association co-hosted two Town Hall panel discussions.  On December 2, 2004 alumni and members of the Lehigh Valley community packed into the Rauch Business Center's Perella Auditorium for "From Bethlehem to Baghdad: A Lehigh Valley Perspective on the Crisis in the Middle East."  Attendees enjoyed a brief reception followed by a panel discussion featuring the renowned insight of the most respected minds in Lehigh Valley academia from Lehigh University, Cedar Crest College, Lafayette College, Moravian College and Muhlenberg College. Afterwards, audience members had the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with the panelists.

Club Spotlight: Lehigh Home Club

Bethlehem to Baghdad The Lehigh Home Club has hosted many very successful events during the fall and winter months, including the
Lehigh Valley Town Hall, a theater event at Zoellner and most recently, an excellent career networking reception at the Hotel Bethlehem. Home Club President Charlie Lieb '70 credits the alumni volunteers for the Club's achievements, saying "The key to the Home Club's success is having a board of directors that are really, truly interested in Lehigh alumni in this area and keeping involved with them." Additionally, the Club attempts to reach out to ALL local alumni through offering a variety of programming - for those who are older, younger, those with families and everything in between.

The Lehigh Home Club's successes appear to be continuing into the new year. The Club currently has over 120 alumni and their families signed up to see the Harlem Globetrotters at Stabler Arena.  In the spring, the Club will be hosting its Annual Lehigh/Lafayette Golf Outing, which is an event that continues to grow and gives alumni an opportunity to play golf with many of Lehigh's coaches. If you would like more information on the Lehigh Home Club, please visit their Web site at http://www.lehighhomeclub.org.
