2006 Club Report

October 2007

LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Fellow Alumni,

It is a pleasure to extend greetings to you as I begin my term as president of the Lehigh Club of Boston. I also extend my sincere thanks to Sarah (Jones) Girotti '93, our past president, for her leadership and commitment over the past two years.

The Lehigh Club of Boston is here for you so that you may reconnect with fellow alumni and continue your relationship with Lehigh. The club was designed to provide all alumni with a place to socialize, network and enjoy local events. Whether it is a family outing to Fenway Park or a wine tasting with old friends, we are sure to have an event that you will love! You can get the latest details on all our events by going to our Club website at www.lehighboston.com.

In addition to social events, the club also plays an active role in promoting Lehigh throughout the greater Boston area. Club members volunteer at college fairs, fund scholastic awards at local high schools and interview potential students. As we see year after year, potential students get a great introduction to our alma mater by meeting our Lehigh family through these events…and they often choose Lehigh as a result of our efforts!

We are able to accomplish all of this with the generosity of our local alumni network. Your dues enable us to keep the Lehigh spirit thriving in a city dominated by local colleges and university graduates. If you have any ideas for events, or any questions, feel free to contact me at mikey.mccarron@alumni.lehigh.edu. We are always seeking alumni that are interested in planning or running events for the Club as well.

Sincerely,

Michael McCarron '04
President, Lehigh University Alumni Club of Boston
